If you've already used RSS.com's convenient 1-click auto-submission to Apple Podcasts, your podcast is already available at Apple Podcasts, but it is still associated with RSS.com’s Apple Podcasts Connect account.
To manage and access your podcast directly, you need to claim your show in your own Apple Podcasts Connect account. Here we'll show you how to do it.
Before you begin: Make sure your podcast has already been submitted to Apple Podcasts through RSS.com’s automatic distribution system and has not yet been claimed in Apple Podcasts Connect.
You can confirm this by going to the Distribution tab in your Dashboard. If Apple Podcasts shows a status of “Active” and “Unclaimed”, you’re good to go.
1. Create an Apple ID (if you don't have one).
2. Copy your Apple Podcasts URL at RSS.com.
3. Login at Apple Podcasts Connect (the account you created at step 1). Go to the 'My Podcasts' section and scroll to the bottom of the page. Look under 'More Actions', and click 'Claim Existing Show'.
4. Follow the prompts to find your show by pasting the URL you got at step 2.
5. Select your show.
6. Generate and copy the token. The token is valid for seven days.
7. Now, go back to RSS.com Distribution section, go to the Apple Podcasts section to claim your show and paste the token there.
The token will be added to your RSS feed and within 24 hours, Apple Podcasts will verify it matches the one you generated in Apple Podcasts Connect and will automatically move your show to your account.
This process can take up to several days; during this time, your podcast will remain available without interruption.
